The Awakening Sounds

"How long have I've been out here?" He thought as he drifted along the salty waters of the ocean on a piece of wood. Eric James Deviant, the brother of Jack Deviant, was nothing more now but an empty shell. It had been years since he had tried to save his brother, the memory still in his mind of when he grabbed Jack's hand, telling him to not let go but Jack still fell in the blinding green light of the vortex. He gave up all he had when he had jumped in, how stupid he was and now he was going to die in the freezing cold seas.

Bou was swimming in the ocean near her home with her sister Yuki, the two splashing each other, happily. not noticing the boy on the wood a few yards away

Eric's mind was half out of it, all he was able to eat was fish but the pass week was hard since he couldn't even use his Element. Even though it was winter, he was slightly sun burnt and his head was killing him. "Oh for pete sakes, just let me die already..." he wondered why he couldn't, was he immortal? Na, just lucky...or cursed. Eric's thoughts when to Trira, her smile, her voice, her laugh, he could swear he could hear it now.

Bou laughed at her older sister, then looked out at the sea and saw something floating there way. "Yuki...there's something out there....let's go see what it is...."Bou said. her sister didn't hear her so she swam out to it

Eric closed his eyes as he drifted along, not realizing that someone was coming. Even if he had noticed, he would only hope it was a whale or something to swallow him.

when Bou got to him, she looked over him not seeing any wounds she asked, "a-are you alright?" softly

Eric's eyes opened a bit and looked to whom had spoke, "Am I dead yet?..." he asked, his voice a bit rasp.

"n-no you aren't.."she replied softly, "let me get you to shore, your freezing..." she continued and began pulling the wood towards where her sister was.

Eric closed his eyes again, he was too tired to ask where he was or who she was.

"yuki go get Chrono and quick." bou told yuki. who saw eripc and nodded running off

Eric's mind finally drifted off to sleep, he wondered why it had taken him so long to go to sleep.

Chrono came out in human form and carried him into the house. "this is Eric. you remember that jakc man correct?" he asked the girls who both nodded, "this is his younger brother"

Eric could feel himself being brought to shore, part of him wished that they hadn't. He heard Chrono's voice and he mentioned Jack, "Jack?...." Eric mumbled.

"he should be dead though." chrono said. "ill go and get jack" yuki said running from the room and into flight to find jack

Jack was in Dreadwood Creek in the park which wasn't far away.

Yuki quickly spoeted him ,"JACK!!!" Yuki shouted as she made a free fall for the ground

Jack was taking a walk around the park when he heard Yuki and looked up to her, "Eh? Are you ok?" he asked her in a calm tone.

Yuki caught herself and landed, "your....brother is at our house." she told him

Jack looked shocked, "What! Where? Is he alright?" he said, cursing at himself in the inside cause he knew that Eric must have jumped into the vortex.

"we don't know his condition but he's alive." she replied

Jack bit his lower lip as he looked down for a minute then back to Yuki, "You have to take me to him, now, please."

Yuki nodded and opened her wings once more and put her hands out for jack to grab so she could fly him there.

Jack grabbed onto her hands, he only hoped that Eric was ok.

Yuki flew as fast as she could back then let him land then landed herself. she quickly showed him to the room they had placed Eric in. to see Bou watching him silently

Jack couldn't believe his eyes, Eric was alive, just a bit weak from his time out on the sea. Eric was fast asleep, "Could you please leave for a moment?" Jack asked.

Bou stood nodding and left the room with Yuki

Jack sat beside Eric's bed, "I'm so sorry..." he said. Jack merely sat there, hours paased by and soon it was night.

(He feels guilty)

Bou knocked on the door,"mr. jack would you like somethng to eat?" she asked

Jack looked to the window and saw it was dark, "No...I have to get back to Dreadwood...keep him safe here, I will be back tomorrow..." Jack said then stood up and disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Bou opened the door, "alright. what do i tell him when he wakes up?" she asked softly

"To stay put." Jack thought in her mind. (Since he had already transported)

she sat down at the chair near the bed and stayed quiet

Eric started to wake up.

Bou didn't notice as she looked up at the ceiling

"Where am I?" Eric groaned, his head was still hurting.

"y-your at m-my house on Baladen Shore.....jack said for y-you to say put..." Bou replied softly

"Jack was here?!" Eric said as he sat up quickly then groaned, "Ah fucking geez..." he rubbed his temples. (Oh i would love to rub his muscles teehee)

"h-he was but you need to rest....." she replied softly looking down and figiting

Eric laid back down, "Who are you, by the way..." Eric asked as he turned his head to her.

she kept her gaze to her hands, "my name is Bou...."

"Alright...thanks by the way..." Eric said then looked to the ceiling.

"y-your welcome...." she replied softly "um.. is there anything you ned?" she asked him

"Yeah..I'm hungry..." Eric said, finally remembering that he hadn't eaten in a few days.

Bou stood and walked out of the room to get him some food

Eric hummed a long sigh as he closed his eyes, it felt so tired. Slowly he began to drift off to sleep.

a few minutes later Bou came back in the room with a bowl of stew for him.

Eric was already fast asleep but his stomach still growled at the smell of the food.

Bou quietly put the bowl on the nightstand next to the bed he was placed in and walked to her room to sleep since it had gotten late

The stars danced in the clear night sky, the moon hung low in a cresent shape as the people slept. Eric woke up, not too much later, then looked around. He sat up and looked to the stew, "Smells good..." he thought then took the bowl and started to eat.

the rest of the house slept quietly except for a small cat who walked into the room Eric was in, "so your awake now?" he questioned
