Many years ago, Alex, Alice, Scarlet, Jack, and many others went to the Aportext Lands to finally defeat Mastermind. Using a vortex to transport Mastermind into a new realm in which he wouldn't be able to survive but he held on strong till his son, Jack Deviant, tricked him into the vortex, sacrificing his own life in the process. As the years passed, the Guardian Kind slowly started to fade till they were a mere thought. Even to this day, in the year 2011, there are some who hold the special gift and now is when they are needed once more.
